A complimentary aperitif is served from 7pm whilst guests assemble in the Art Deco Station Refreshment Rooms at Tenterden Town Station. Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson are on hand to welcome you and the scene is set for an evening of murder & mystery! At 7.30 pm, guests are invited to board the Wealden Pullman dining train. During the journey, Holmes and Watson spring into action as the case unfolds. Armed with some background details, and some clues, you become the detective trying to pit your wits against Holmes as you race to solve the case before the great detective. For every deduction you make, more clues (or red herrings!) will be forthcoming. Further scenes are acted out in front of you, each providing information invaluable to your investigation. There’s a short interval on arrival at Bodiam Station, but keep an eye out for further clues on the platform! Once you have made your deductions, found the motive and named the murderer you will be invited to submit your answers. On arrival back at Tenterden Town Station, Holmes will line up all the suspects and expose their secrets one by one until the final person left is the guilty party (or are they?).
Prizes for those who solved the case are awarded, along with certificates of achievement, special awards for the best volunteer actors, as well as souvenir booklets for all. Audience participation is a fundamental part of our themed evenings. There may be opportunities for guests to undertake some volunteer acting, be dressed as one of the suspects ... or even to take the part of a dead body!
Tickets can be purchased in person from our Tenterden booking office or by telephoning 01580 765155 during office hours, 10.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday and 9.00am - 2.00pm at weekends.
