Dressing Miss Terry Exhibition

An exhibition exploring the part played by Ellen Terry's unique theatrical costumes during her 60-year long acting career.
This exhibition focusses on the part played by Ellen Terry’s costumes during her illustrious acting career and her collaboration with designers, dressmakers and dressers. It will also examine complex processes involved in preserving and conserving unique theatrical garments in order to exhibit them. The sumptuous costumes of Beatrice and Benedick from Much Ado About Nothing, worn by Ellen Terry and Henry Irving in the 1880s will be on display for the first time following recent conservation.
This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
