This year's festival kicks off on Thursday evening with "The Around Kent Folk Concert," featuring performances by Bob Kenward, John & Di Cullen, Julie & Gavin Atkin, and Sue Watson. These Kent-based musicians will present songs with strong ties to the region. Note that this event is not included in the Full Weekend Tickets.

The festival runs through to Sunday night, offering a variety of concerts, music and song sessions, workshops, an English Barn Dance, and more, with an excellent lineup of guests, including both festival newcomers and returning favourites, alongside our regular local performers.

Dance Displays: On Saturday and Sunday, dancers will fill the streets with performances of various styles, including Morris, Clog, Garland, Appalachian, and even international styles like Bulgarian and Slovakian. The procession starts Saturday at 3pm near the War Memorial and moves through the town to the Recreation Ground, where dance teams will entertain at the main marquee.

Concerts and Folk Clubs: Concerts begin on Thursday and continue throughout the weekend. The Tenterden Club is the main venue, with additional events at The White Lion Saddlery, and St Mildred’s Church. Sea shanties and other events will be held at the Old Dairy Tap Room.

Song and Music Sessions: Informal sing-arounds and music sessions are daily highlights, with something for everyone, including a special Celtic music session. All are welcome to join in or simply enjoy the music.

Workshops and Meet the Guest Sessions: These interactive events offer a chance to learn, ask questions, and engage with experts. Check the diary for details.

Venues: Festival activities will be held at various locations, including the Recreation Ground, High Street, Tenterden Club, St Mildred’s Church, and several local pubs and venues.
