The popular Cinque Ports Sea Songs and Shanties Session will also take place via Zoom. You can even try a Zoom dance! Events will be live streamed on Zoom and Facebook and posted to You Tube so that you can watch them again later. We will also be posting new video concerts from some of our festival guests past, present and future on You Tube. We are planning some virtual Morris and folk dance displays, a procession and a craft fair. You can also visit a virtual photograph exhibition and see selected photos from Tenterden Folk Festival 2019 and previous TFF events.

Travelling Folk and Friends will be hosting two Zoom sessions, one on Thursday and one on Sunday; Graeme Knights regular Saturday Zoom session and Gavin and Julie Atkin’s Sunday session are being dedicated to Virtually Tenterden. Zoom dances
Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer's Zoom Ceilidh with caller Rhodri Davies
To attend the Zoom dance you need to register so that we can send you the details! Numbers are limited so register early. We will email you to let you know we’ve received the registration. Then we will email you closer to the date with the Zoom meeting details. You can find more details and sign up for the virtual ceilidh on Vicki and Jonny's website here, now. http://www.swan-dyer.co.uk/zoom-dance-for-tenterden/

There may also be another ceilidh the details of which we hope to release shortly.

Virtual concerts
Many of our past guests and those who were booked for Tenterden Folk Festival 2020 have recorded video sets for our virtual concerts that you will be able to watch on You Tube. We have sets recorded in guests back gardens and reception rooms as well as some from video studios and live gigs. There are all well worth a look.

Other events
Other events you can attend virtually will include:
  • A photograph exhibition on You Tube and Tumblr
  • A workshop on Zoom with Nick Dow talking about the new book, the Southern Songster
  • Morris dance displays on You Tube
  • A small Craft fair on You Tube

You can download the draft progamme from the Virtually Tenterden page on the Tenterden Folk Festival website www.tenterdenfolkfestival.org.uk but be aware it is not finalised yet so check it again nearer the time.

The Committee would like to particularly thank Peter Collins for offering his technical knowledge and time to help make this all possible.
