Talk by Kristina Clode
Designing a Sensory Garden
Kristina is a very successful local garden designer, who lives in Brede. The Society of Garden Designers have twice awarded her gold medals for excellent, environmentally sensitive designs. In 2021 she designed a lovely sensory garden for Sedlescombe School. In 2022 she won the Design for the Environment Award for her Wildlife Friendly Eco House Garden in Winchelsea Beach, where her use of low impact materials and sumptuous wildlife-friendly planting were commended by the judges. She has been fortunate to work on a variety of projects in the past few years from city courtyards to large family gardens, tricky sloping sites and even two sensory gardens for schools. She volunteers at Great Dixter which provides her with a wealth of inspiration and keeps her at the forefront of horticultural practice and planting innovation.
