The Poppy Appeal 2018 starts on Saturday 27th October and lasts until Saturday 10th November, the day before Remembrance Sunday, 11th November 2018. The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s biggest fundraising campaign held every year helping to support their vital work for the Armed Forces community. Please give generously
Approximately 100 trays of poppies and collecting boxes will be distributed to outlets with a further 40 shared between House-to-House and Street collectors. "We hope for another successful year" said Roger Thomas. "The people of this district have always been very generous and, if we could increase the total donated above last year's record of £22,000, this would again be a fantastic result."
The Kent Army Cadet Force and the military vehicles of the Smith family will again be participating
- Collectors House-to-House & at Waitrose from 27th Oct
- Collectors at Tesco from 1st Nov
- Collectors throughout town every day from 3rd Nov, inc
