Lunch will be served at your table aboard the special Mother’s Day steam train on 22 March as you travel in style through the beautiful Rother Valley from the historical market town of Tenterden to the pretty country station at Bodiam.
There are Ploughman’s lunches available on the 12:30pm departure or Cream Teas on the 3:30pm departure from Tenterden. Book online and seats will be reserved with food, tea or coffee served at tables during the journey. There are special gifts available for Mums to take home, all for just £32.50 for a Ploughman’s or £30.95 for a cream tea.
Additional passengers may travel for £19 per adult and £13 per child and can choose to add a Ploughman’s for £8.50, Cream Tea for £6.95 - or a children’s Munch Bag for just £4.50!
Tickets also provide discounted entry into the National Trust castle at Bodiam, just a short walk from the station.
“These special trains provide the perfect venue for the whole family to relax and enjoy being together whilst enjoying their comfy seats in the unique setting and traditionally welcoming service” says Helen Douglas, Sales & Marketing Manager for the Railway.
Non-dining accommodation will also be available for visitors to travel on these trains and can be booked online.
There is free parking at Tenterden and Northiam stations and our specially designed railway carriage “Petros” offers ramped wheelchair access, wide aisles, moveable seating and an accessible toilet.
There is full wheelchair access to the Gift Shop and Station Refreshment Rooms at Tenterden Town Station.
