Midsummer Night Dream is being performed by E.15 at Smallhythe Place's Barn Theatre.
As would have been the case in Shakespeare’s own Globe Theatre, our productions are adapted for and created by the company. This ensemble spirit is a crucial part of our ethos at East 15 Acting School. Now part of the University of Essex, East 15 was founded over 60 years ago by Maggie Bury to train actors in the tradition of Joan Littlewood’s Theatre Workshop Company at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, London.
In 2022 we are delighted to bring you Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream in which our actors (BA HONS Acting), who have been training together for the last 2 years, use all their individual and collaborative company skills to present thrilling and original productions. This will be the first public performance for the current second year students and Shakespeare with a fresh mind!
