Monday 8 November - Saturday 13 November 2021
St Mildred's Church, Tenterden
Thirty-two WOKAS members are taking part with over 150 works of art on show to view and to buy. There are also many great value, beautiful, greetings cards produced by the artists for sale.
Based in Tenterden, the Society is a thriving group of enthusiastic artists with over 100 members from surrounding towns and villages. Founded more than 50 years ago WOKAS aims to encourage art and the appreciation of art. Membership is open to both amateur
and professional artists working in oil, acrylics, watercolour, pastel, print-making, sculpture and ceramics.
Visitors are invited to vote for their favourite piece of art and this year, for the first time, a newly created Art Prize is being awarded for a single piece of art on show. The new NFU Mutual Art Prize is sponsored by NFU Mutual and WOKAS Chairman Clive Dand says the Society is delighted to have their support for the creative arts: “It has been a difficult time for all artists during lockdown, trying to find inspiration while being confined, and this Art Prize is just the boost we all need.”
