Tenterden High Street will be closed on Saturday 2 October from 15:00 to 16:00 hours for the Tenterden Folk Festival procession. The closure will cover the A28 Tenterden High Street from West Cross to East Cross and part of Recreation Ground Road and adjoining roads.

Tenterden Folk Festival is a four day long festival of folk song, music, dance, crafts and traditions. Tenterden, situated in the ancient Weald of Kent, about 12 miles west of Ashford, is an ideal setting for this friendly, family festival of folk. Tenterden features one of the widest High Streets in the country lined with historic and listed buildings, numerous friendly pubs and restaurants and green verges. The festival includes many free events.
