Join us for Christmas Day at Highbury Hall, doors open at 12 noon.
Last year we fed 25 guests and 12 volunteers on Christmas Day, ranging from a 1 year old through to a 90 year old lady. The Friends of Highbury Hall are pleased to announce that we will be putting on another Festive Do this year. We will be open on Christmas Day from 12 noon, serving a Christmas lunch to anyone who would like to join us. You don’t have to be old or on your own to come along, young people, couples, even families are welcome if you want to come out and meet up with other people instead of staying indoors. We don’t want to exclude anyone from joining in the fun, so we are not asking for a specific amount of money, just a donation of whatever you can afford on the day. Some of the food is donated to us by Tesco, Waitrose and other local businesses, but the donations help to cover other costs and enable us to put the event on again next year. We serve a traditional Roast Dinner, so we need to take bookings in advance to ensure we have enough for everyone. If anyone would like to join us, please telephone 01580 764395.
What we are asking of you is that if you know someone who might benefit from coming along, please share this information and encourage them to come along if they can. Many of you during the course of your work or charitable activities will know of people who are on their own or who are struggling in some way ,so if you are able to ,please share the poster and the information as much as you can.
We are also looking for support in the form of volunteers, donations of food or of money to enable us to make this event really special. If you can help in any way, please contact me by email or phone 07956 295076
