Nathalie Cohen, National Trust Archaeologist, talks about last year’s exciting excavations at Smallhythe in Kent and throws light on what this years dig in August hopes to uncover . Perhaps best known today as the former home of Victorian actress Ellen Terry and her daughter Edy Craig, during the medieval period, Smallhythe was a location for royal shipbuilding and it was also a hive of activity some 2,000 years ago.
The lecture is held in the Barn Theatre, seating is available. Please feel free to arrive early and enjoy the garden, children are welcome.
