Take a step back in time with a visit to the annual 1940's weekend - experience the 40s lifestyle as the railway turns back the clock to wartime Britain. A whole weekend of pure nostalgia, recreating the sights, sounds and fashions of the 1940's. Book early for this popular event

Enjoy live music at Tenterden and Bodiam, Vintage stalls, period civilian and military vehicles, 40s hairstyling and keep a look out for 'Viv the Spiv' with his black market goods!
Freedom Tickets are valid for unlimited train travel on the day of your visit. Collect your free identity card before immersing yourself in the nostalgic 40s atmosphere created by the re-enactors, live performers and authentic 1940's displays. A variety of attractions are planned for each station, and re-enactors and 1940's singers will be performing throughout the weekend.
Trains will run every 45 minutes throughout the day with the first leaving Tenterden at 10:45 and the last train leaving Bodiam Station at 17:03.
Limited Platform tickets will be available to purchase on the day
£8.00 Adult admission at Tenterden £1 for a child, £5.00 Adult admission at Bodiam £1 for a child
Activities at Bodiam Station
Enjoy some refreshment from the NAFFI van, relax listening to 'Miss Holiday Swing' (Saturday only) , Sarah Martin (Sunday only) and 'Adam Hoffman'.
Costumed re-enactors, military and civilian vehicles all add to the atmosphere.
Explore the Royal Navy Commando and Desert Rats encampment display filled with authentic kit, weapons and a variety of jeeps.
Enjoy a glass of Prosecco, wine, beer or cider from our beer tent!
