Description
The Pavilion
The Pavilion is a delightful, little house built in 2017 that really is a romantic idyll, set in the beautiful gardens of Brunger House (a Grade II listed building with historic interest which was built in c1540). The Pavilion has been beautifully furnished with a touch of romance and glamorous French style, having pretty furniture, gorgeous fabrics and delicate white bed linen. This luxury property which sleeps 2 has full sunshine all day and pretty plantation shutters internally, to keep cool on hot summer days and the log burning stove in the living area keeps guests warm and cosy on those cooler evenings. There is a lovely veranda to the front for dining al fresco overlooking the private tennis court and enjoying views of the beautiful garden. To the side there is also a little paved patio leading off the bedroom, the perfect spot for a relaxed private morning coffee and a croissant.

To have a virtual a tour of the Pavilion please visit https://www.brungerhouse.co.uk/pavilion.html

The minimum stay is 3 nights and prices start from £375, and includes a generous welcome pack. Ample car parking. Check-In is after 3pm and Check-Out before 10am.

For larger groups, rooms in the main house may be booked in conjunction with the Pavilion. Please note that rooms in the main house cannot be booked separately.

The Pond Room
A beautiful large double room overlooking the pond through quaint arched windows. There is an adjacent bathroom with bath, no shower, although there is a hand held shower on the bath taps. The room is on the top floor of the house and is accessed via an old narrow wooden staircase so may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

EnSuite King Size Bedroom
A large King size bedroom located on the 1st floor of the house. The En-Suite bathroom has a modern Jacuzzi bath and large separate shower.

The Blue Room
A pretty double aspect room overlooking the rear garden and pond. This room has a small double French Bed, so ideal for one person or a couple who like to cosy up to one another. This room benefits from its own private shower, or can be booked in conjunction with the King Room as a family suite sharing the En-Suite bathroom.

Guests are encouraged to use the beautiful gardens and the tennis court.

Owners Jo and Simon
Simon is a retired Consultant Anaesthetist & Medical Director. Jo worked at King’s as a Service Manager for many years but gave this up when they moved to Tenterden. Jo & Simon will be at hand to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible. Simon enjoys cycling, gardening, reading, skiing & DIY. Jo has a passion for cooking, loves animals, entertaining & skiing.

We understand guest's needs and appreciate that people may return from events, such as weddings, during the early hours of the morning. This is not a problem provided people respect the house rules.

We hope our guests fall in love with Brunger as much as we have!

The delightful town of Tenterden with the pretty tree lined Main Street and weather boarded houses is an easy stroll of just over a mile. The town has a great choice of independent shops, good restaurants and cafes to visit and whilst there a 'must do' is to hop onto the Tenterden and East Sussex steam railway and take afternoon tea on a magical trip to Bodiam Castle, with its fairy-tale turrets and moat.

There are also many lovely country walks and cycle routes around the town to be enjoyed by more active guests. Just a short drive away is the acclaimed Chapel Down Winery & and The Swan restaurant where you can dine on the finest local produce and award winning English wines. Also near is Gusbourne Vineyard in Appledore which also produces multi-award winning wines.

Heading for the coast and the medieval Cinque Port of Rye is a true step back in time with ancient winding cobbled streets and many artisan shops, or the atmospheric Winchelsea beach, a beautiful unspoilt beach that is rarely busy and perfect for beachcombing. But with such beautiful grounds surrounding the Pavilion you may just wish to stay in and enjoy your home from home - relax on the veranda, play a game of tennis or visit the ducklings in the natural pond.

We very much look forward to welcoming you.
