COVID UPDATE Jan 2021. Currently closed. Carole says "in the interest of both staff and customers I have decided to halt take away services from The Fat Ox until such time as it may be safe to continue. There will be no roast lunches, coffees or alcohol sales in the near future. I am still offering free coffee, hot drinks and Cordials to any NHS / key workers that are out and about. They just need to ring the doorbell on Ox Lane and I will happily refill their cups . Like everyone unless I’m out on my daily dog ramble I will be staying home. Thank you everyone for your kind wishes and support"
The Fat Ox - a pretty Kentish weather-boarded inn dating back to the late 18th century - is a very friendly family run pub, conveniently situated close to the A28 between Ashford and Tenterden. Inside is cosy with its log fire in the inglenook fireplace in the winter, and outside is a large garden, ideal for families.
