Description
u3a is a movement of retired and semi-retired people who come together to continue their educational, social and creative interests in a friendly and informal environment.

Our branch is based in Tenterden and St Michael’s, but we draw our members from a much wider area that includes the surrounding towns and villages such as Cranbrook, Headcorn, Rolvenden, Bethersden and Biddenden. We are a friendly and welcoming self-help organisation that provides educational, creative, social and leisure activities.

Membership of the u3a is open to everyone who is retired or semi-retired. Our members enjoy meeting like-minded people and expanding their horizons by sharing their vast store of knowledge and experience. Monthly meetings (with a guest speaker) are held in St. Mildred’s Church Hall, Church Road, Tenterden from 2.00 to 4.00 every third Thursday from September to June. Other activities include regular meetings of interest groups, outdoor activities, study days and outings to the theatre, music events, stately homes and gardens.
