We welcome runners of all levels to our multi-ability coached sessions. And for those taking their first steps, we run regular 10-week beginners’ courses. Lots of people enquiring about the groups ask ‘how far do you run?’ During the hour-long session, we might cover somewhere between 3 and 6 miles, but it’s almost never in the form of a continuous steady run. We focus more on ‘quality’ training like intervals, speedwork, hills or tempo sessions, along with some drills and exercises to improve technique, strength and efficiency. The way sessions are structured means that everyone gets to work at their own level, even with people of very different speeds/abilities.
We meet on Monday evenings at 6.30pm
We meet on the Tenterden Recreation Ground (Recreation Ground Road, just off the High Street), next to the pavilion building overlooking the football pitch. There is free parking at the adjacent car park after 6pm (and toilets!) and also at the Leisure Centre and on the top level of the Waitrose car park.
