We hold a variety of courses, meeting groups, retreats and events throughout the year and are committed to helping improve physical, social, mental and emotional health through education in the practice of Mindfulness across the age spectrum in Kent and East Sussex.
Mindfulness is an evidence-based, non-religious practice which is not so much a therapy, more a teachable skill that involves directing our attention to our experience as it unfolds, moment by moment, with open-minded curiosity and acceptance.
We live in a world of constant busyness, where there is always another job to be done or a goal to achieve and it can often feel like we are just rushing through, rather than really living our lives. Mindfulness training can help to deal more effectively with stressful situations and can also help us to wake up to the richness of our lives as they actually are, as opposed to how we may wish them to be. In doing so we have an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of how our minds work.
If you feel that you spend a lot of time caught up in your thoughts, worrying about the future, or dwelling on the past, or would like to learn how to respond to difficulties in a different way from how you may have approached things in the past, a Mindfulness course may help.
It may be that for whatever reasons you feel stressed, anxious or just feel that life has lost its sparkle. Or you may just be curious to try something new for you.
Many people who take a Mindfulness course find that it brings them a sense of calmness, that they are able to solve problems in more skilful ways than in the past and there can be a sense of waking up to one's life.
Sleep often improves and there can be an increased sense of wellbeing and happiness.

After the completion of a Mindfulness course all participants are welcome to join our monthly meetings which can really help to support your ongoing Mindfulness practice.
