Dissolution of TDRA
Sent to members recently - this note is to give formal advice that, at the AGM held on 21st May 2025, the members of TDRA voted to dissolve TDRA, i.e. wind down its affairs over the next few months. The background to this is given in the Committee Report to the AGM as follows:
“In March the Committee was faced with a significant reduction in the number of active trustees. As a result we issued a note to members and an appeal to Tenterden residents via the My Tenterden newsletter (which reaches some 2,500 readers) for volunteers to come forward as potential new trustees. No individuals responded to the appeal. With no additional trustees, a steadily declining membership, and a lack of major issues facing the town, we have had to conclude that the Association has come to a natural end. We are proud of its history and its achievements over the years.”
After settlement of operational expenses in the current year, the residual balances will be divided equally and donated to: Tenterden Social Hub, Tenterden Wildlife, Weald of Kent Protection Society, and Tenterden & District Museum
