Home games of Tenterden Tornados basketball team are played at Tenterden Leisure Centre

Last night saw the return of the Tenterden Tornados basketball team as they faced Canterbury Christchurch University at their first home match of the season. The Tenterden Tornados re-formed after a 7 year break from the East Kent league, the new look team has a mix of players from the original team as well as new players who have joined the squad. The Tornados have been training over the past year and with the practice sessions going well and the standard of play improving and the decision was made to enter a team in the competitive East Kent League. It was a thrilling game and the teams were very evenly matched during the first half seeing the score line at 23-20 to Tenterden; the players dug deep during the second half and went on a 17 point scoring run seeing the game end at 52-37 and a brilliant win to Tenterden! If you would like to come and watch Tenterden play at the Leisure Centre their home games are Monday 9th October and Monday 16th October starting at 7.45pm.
