Newspaper article, Kentish Express 5 July 1935.  Wealden Town's Historic Past. Revelation by Tenterden's Jubilee Pageant. A Wonderful Setting. "500 characters were portrayed by 359 performers, many of who were actual descendants of those they were representing. The whole was produced by Edith Craig, daughter of the late Dame Ellen Terry, whose home was at Smallhythe.
