Description

Tenterden and District Local History Society

The usual programme includes seven lectures per year on Monday evenings. Meetings are held in the Church of St. Mildred, High Street, Tenterden, 7.15pm for 7.30pm. Free to members; visitors are also welcome, at a cost of £3 per meeting. Non-members may join the Society at these events, our annual membership is £6.

COFFEE MORNING SOCIALS

Coffee Mornings are open to all, members and non-members. Bring your friends! We have been compiling local Scrapbooks for over 50 years and these will be on display, amongst other items of interest. The Scrapbooks make a fascinating record of events as seen at the time by local newspapers, with periodicals and photographs. Entrance costs £1 per person to include refreshments. Non-members are very welcome to join the T&DLHS at these events.

SOCIETY’S LIBRARY
The collection of books, papers, etc. on local history belonging to the Society are stored in the Museum and can be made available to members on request.
