St Mildred's Church in Tenterden dates from the 12th century and is Grade 1 listed. The imposing tower which is 130 feet in height, dominates the town's skyline, and was constructed in 1461. The tower is built of Bethersden Marble, a locally quarried Limestone containing many thousands of brightly coloured shells.
The church is open to visitors every day during daylight hours.

Monday to Friday, Morning Prayer is said in St Mildred’s Church at 9am. You are warmly invited to come along. This service will not appear online. Online only services Monday to Friday: Beginning the Day with God and Ending the Day with God, which are about ten minutes long and consist of an opening and closing prayer, a Bible reading and accompanying reflection and music. Because of their brevity, they are perfectly tailored to fit into a busy day! On Saturdays we have our Meaning in the Miracles series, at 9am in St Mildred’s. You are warmly invited to come along. This service will also appear online. We have a Saturday evening reflective service, entitled Secrets of the Psalms which will be online only from 7pm. Also Holy Communion is celebrated every Wednesday at St Michael’s Church, and every Thursday at St Mildred’s Church. Both services will begin at 10am.
