Rolvenden Lawn Tennis Club
Long-time residents of Rolvenden will know that there has been a tennis club in the corner of the playing field for many years. Starting as one grass court and officially titled Rolvenden Lawn Tennis Club, it progressed to one hard court and then two, followed by what is known as "The Pavilion". Nothing quite so grand actually, but a very useful little place for storage ad shelter.
The Club is an independent organisation, granted use of the land it occupies by a Village Trust, at a very reasonable annual rent, and managed by a committee of members. Because of the support from the Trust, annual memberships are very good value compared with many other clubs.
