Rare Breeds Centre Bird of Prey Experiences
Experience our birds in action
We run Bird of Prey experiences all year round for children and adults. We have several experiences available, which all deliver a fun and hands-on interaction with our birds. Our experiences make a wonderful gift, and we have a range of options to accommodate all levels of experience, from the curious to the enthusiastic.
- Fly a Harris Hawk
- Two hour bird of prey experience
- Full day experience
- Five day falconry course
- Family Group experience
- The Photography Group
All experiences are supervised personally by the Head Falconer, Colin Breck Boardman BA, PGCE. Colin is a qualified teacher and has been a falconer since 2002 when he was inspired by 'Falconry and Hawking' by Phillip Glasier. He studied Falconry under Glasier's daughter, Jemima Parry-Jones, at the National Bird of Prey Centre, at Newent, (now the International Bird Of Prey Centre). Colin initiated the Rare Breeds Centre's current Bird of Prey Experiences on his appointment as Head Falconer in 2012.
