VJ Day 75 Commemoration

"15th August 2020 was the 75th anniversary of VJ Day. A service was held at the War Memorial to commemorate those who took part in the Far East War, especially the Burma Campaign. John Hutchin, who served as a Chindit, laid a wreath in memory of those who fought in the Burma Campaign. Dave Chapman laid a wreath on behalf of the British Legion and our Mayor, Jean Curteis laid a wreath on behalf of Tenterden Town Council"
