Highbury Hall is home to several local groups and hosts many different events as well as many one off events and private functions.
Facilities: large hall suitable for up to 125 people (standing) or 75 (seated for a meal) or 100 (sitting for a lecture); fully equipped kitchen (with bar area) for self catering with crockery/cutlery etc approximately 45 people, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave; 20 x 6 ft tables, assorted small tables, approximately 100 chairs; wheelchair access; disabled toilet; free wi-fi; small on-site car parking for approximately 15 cars (if carefully managed), also adjacent to Bridewell Lane Car Park (council run car park).
The hall is owned and managed by Tenterden Youth Club (the trustees have recently changed the name with the Charities Commission - now called "Highbury Hall Tenterden"), a registered Charity (Number 302859) established in 1966 to provide a club for the young people of Tenterden (added recently "the general public").
HISTORY
Tenterden Youth Club (at Highbury Hall) was founded in 1966 with the aim of helping and educating youth through their leisure time activities so to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved.
