Tenterden U3A have embarked on What’s In A Name?, researching all the street names in Tenterden and St Michaels, approaching 200 of them. The idea is to produce a booklet listing them all with the year they came about, the reason behind the name, and any stories around the name - notable past events, residents, War memories etc.
The U3A are looking for personal stories, reminiscences etc to help build up an almost social history of our town through its centuries of development.
