100 miles for 100 years First World War Heritage Trails Discover and Share Event - your opportunity to participate in a First World War project. 100 miles for 100 years; a Heritage Lottery Fund supported project to develop 30 free heritage trails in 16 locations throughout Kent; will be in Tenterden Museum (Station Road, Tenterden, TN30 6HN) on Friday 19 May 2017, 1.30pm-4.30pm.
This is your chance to support the development of First World War themed heritage trails for the community in your locality and help to remember those who served in the Forces and those on the Home Front.
Visit our stand and see where people lived, went to school or worked on the map for your town and help grow the knowledge of your community during the First World War by bringing along family photographs or postcards to be digitally scanned on the day and returned to you. Share your family history or any information you have about local buildings to help others discover more about the community as it was then.
You will be able to speak to one of the team to find out how you can be more deeply involved with the project and learn new skills assisting the community development of the heritage trails.
This is an interesting event for all the family with a short quiz to discover more about the people, places and events locally during the First World War.
