What could volunteering possibly do for me?
Skills for Volunteers course
Friday 7th July 2017
9.30am - 2.30pm
Berwick House, 8 Elwick Road, Ashford TN23 1PF
Volunteering is an excellent way of developing new skills and utilising existing ones, as well as a fun way of meeting new people. It can also be a stepping-stone back into employment.
Ashford Volunteer Centre, in partnership with Response, believes that volunteering should be open to all, but recognises that some people may need a little extra help to get started.
It is therefore offering FREE training with lunch and refreshments included. Places are limited so early application recommended. This course is open to any adult over 19 but may be particularly helpful to the following groups:
Unemployed or low waged people 19+
Adults with low skills not engaged in learning
Those in receipt of various benefits
Those living in rural areas (travel expenses can be paid)
Women wanting to return to work
People who have never volunteered before
No formal qualifications are required. For more information please contact Lee Robinson on 01233 665535 or via e:mail on firstname.lastname@example.org
. To ensure courses are
suitably attended we will ask for potential attendees to confirm their place by completing an application form.
