Cafe Scientifique is a place where, for the price of a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, anyone can come to listen to a lecture exploring the latest ideas in science and technology.
Our meetings are every couple of months starting at 7pm, very informal but a comprehensible talk on a scientific or technical subject with questions welcome. There are no fees, no commitments. Hold/cold/alcoholic drinks and snacks are available to purchase if you wish.
Our next get together will be on 22 May 2017 at the Tenterden Station Buffet, 7pm
Fake Science: The debate
Do you know about deadly diHydrogen Monoxide? Are ChemTrails controlling our minds? Can you treat a headache with Turmeric? Do vaccines work? A first for Tenterden's Café Scientifique. A friendly (but hopefully impassioned) debate about the importance of Science in education and daily life. Please come along and join in.
Come along, get yourself a suitable refreshment and join us by 7pm for a very informal, topical but comprehensible talk on a scientific or technical subject with questions welcomed. There are no fees. No commitments. Hot/cold/alcoholic drinks and snacks are available to purchase if you wish.
