The Tuesdays, a fun community singing group in and around Tenterden. At the core of The Tuesdays is a voluntary group of helpers and organisers, but we are led primarily by Maxine Wilson and Helen Walsh. All abilities are welcome, with no auditions, just come along and join in on Tuesday evenings between 7.30 and 9.30pm each week at St Mildred's Church Hall, Tenterden.
Those with more ability can join The Ruby Tuesdays which is a performance group for singers who wish to take their singing a step further and are able to give more commitment. The Ruby Tuesdays meet every Thursday evening in the Glebe Hall, Tenterden, at 7.15pm.
Max Wilson, She says ...
"The Tuesdays are so much more than regular singing groups. We are as unique as every single one of our members and welcome all, regardless of their singing ability or level of confidence. You may wish to simply attend weekly Tuesday sessions and sing hit songs bursting with feel-good factor, or you may wish to take to the stage and perform at any of our fantastic fund-raising shows.
Our groups offer different opportunities depending on your own requirements and they have a fantastic social element with lots of fun get-togethers outside of singing. There are no auditions for the Tuesday group and no pressure is ever placed on anyone to step into the light. We are a not-for-profit group and raise many thousands of pounds each year for local and national charities.
What better way to spend your spare time? Why not take the plunge and come along and meet us? You can email first or just turn up to any Tuesday session. It really may be one the best things you ever did!"
