Description
Purchase our firewood logs by the trailer load delivered to your home, or come to our honesty stall at the Potato Shop. The wood will include ash, hornbeam, chestnut and pine. As the latter two varieties can spit, it is important that this wood is burnt in a closed woodburner or behind a fireguard at all times.

POTATO SHOP STALL
Three different grades of firewood logs; budget logs, general purpose logs and small logs for small wood burners and coal grates. Weigh out 25 kg of logs and then load them into your car boot. Each 25kg load of budget logs costs £6, general purpose logs cost £7 and the smaller logs cost £8. Pay by cash or cheque at our farm office door

DELIVERED TO YOUR HOME
Split logs can also be delivered by the trailer load. We are not able to calculate the exact weight or volume of one of these loads, but internal dimensions of our trailer are 8’ long by 4’10” wide by 3’ high, and we will cram as much uncut wood as we can into each load. The cost of each load will be £100 plus £1 per mile for the first eight miles, then £2 per mile thereafter to your address (one way). Or for just £80 plus transport, we can deliver a trailer load made up mainly of pine. Pine wood is not as dense as ash, hornbeam or chestnut and burns more quickly, but it lights easily and produces a lot of heat.

We can take payment by credit card over the phone, and can usually deliver within 48 hours for orders placed on Mondays – Thursdays. (Delivery may take longer during our busy harvest periods).

Please email or phone us if you have any questions about our firewood.
