Kench Hill Centre is a residential facility providing educational trips, holidays and hostel accommodation to schools, families and voluntary groups from areas of deprivation, particularly from the London Borough of Hackney. The Georgian manor house and peaceful gardens, formerly Tenterden's maternity hospital and nursing home, offer a tranquil and relaxing environment to all.
A trip to Kench Hill may be the first time a child has been to the countryside, touched an animal or seen the sea. Alongside curricular learning and traditional crafts we foster skills of independence, team work, healthy eating and outdoor activity.
We also accommodate non-Hackney groups when availability allows.
